Lemongrass Cilantro Simple Syrup
This recipe for lemongrass and cilantro simple syrup: a herb infused syrup that can be used in many different cocktails, beverages and desserts.
Simple syrup is a mix of sugar and water used to sweeten beverages. This syrup works well in cold drinks, as the sugar is dissolved on the stovetop and there is no need to continually stir to dissolve the sugar granules. Infusing the syrup with lemongrass adds a subtle tropical note, while the fresh cilantro leaves add an unusual, complex floral flavor.
