I absolutely love gingerbread. The warming, cozy smell as it bakes in my oven, the gingery snap of flavor in each bite! But sometimes I don’t have the time for measuring all of the spices (cinnamon, ginger, cloves) and am also out of molasses. This recipe has all of the gingerbread taste notes, as well as a bright kick from the orange zest studded icing.
