Frozen strawberries are perfect for this stewed fruit recipe flavored with bay leaves. Spoon over yogurt for a satisfying breakfast bowl to brighten the start of your morning.

fresh, not dried
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
No need to stir this recipe, the fruit will soften on it's own and keep it's structure.
Remove from heat once liquid has turned syrupy and thick and strawberries are soft.
Be sure to remove the bay leaf before serving, as the leaf itself is not edible.
Spoon (warm) over yogurt, cakes, or ice cream and serve.
