Spiced Apple Wine Recipe

This apple wine infused drink is perfect for cool weather sipping. Full of spices and infused with apple fruit juice, this wine is a comforting beverage as the weather cools. This wine cocktail can be served ice cold or heated gently over the stove for a cozy libation.

Equipment

  • 1 Liter Carafe or glass container

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Bottle white Wine, Pinot Grigio or Reisling
  • 1 Vanilla Bean or 1 tsp vanilla paste
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1 Large Bay Leaf
  • 2 Medium Apples
  • 1 Tsp Candied Ginger, chopped 1 slice of premade
  • 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup

Instructions
 

  • Slice apples small enough to fit through mouth of container you are using.
  • Slice vanilla bean on side, creating a small slit.
  • Add cinnamon sticks, bay leaf, ginger, vanilla and maple syrup to carafe.
  • Add apples and top with full bottle of wine.
  • Keep refrigerated for at least 8 hours. Swirl occasionally to release even more flavor.
  • Serve this apple spice infused wine cold in a tumbler (no ice!) or heat gently over the stovetop for a warming, spicy toddy.
