Instructions
Oven Roasting Your Chestnuts
Preheat oven to 400℉
Place chestnuts in bowl and cover with boiling water. let sit for at least 20 minutes.
Remove chestnuts from water and slice an x into the top of each chestnut with a pairing knife.
Place chestnuts, x side up in oven safe cast iron pan.
Roast nuts for 30-45 minutes or until the x opens up, remove from oven and serve hot.
Buttery Cinnamon Topping
Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Add honey and mix in with cinnamon and vanilla for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Drizzle buttery topping directly onto roasted chestnuts or serve in a small bowl on the side for dipping.
